WE DO: TAKE 2!

May 2016: Laurent & Aisha met through a mutual friend at a kickback, and instantly hit it off - only to find out that weeks later Aisha would be heading to Chicago for the summer, and Laurent was leaving for a 2 year grad program in Boston. Distance couldn't stop texts, Facetime sessions, and letters from keeping them close. Over the next two years, Laurent came home for holidays and Aisha even made a couple trips to Boston. May 2018: Aisha & Laurent were both graduating and it was finally time to be together again! ... or so she thought.. Laurent accepted a job with Footlocker out in Wisconsin and it was another year of long distance. Alas, February 2019: Laurent secretly packed his things and sold all his furniture, surprising Aisha with his move back to Cincy, and on 5/2/19, he popped the question! Of course the answer was YES! The next year was spent planning a very large wedding with nearly 400 of their family and friends! March 2020: Covid-19 put the world on pause. Just 1 week away from their day, they had to make the difficult decision to cancel the wedding. But that didn't stop their union! In just 3 days, working around all the Covid restrictions, they planned their unforgettable, intimate ceremony - and on March 21, 2020 they said "I do!" From 4 years of long distance to 1+ year being quarantined AND working from home together - they continue to choose each other and trust in whatever journey God has in store for them.
