As many of you probably know, we met at work. Dicky was my supervisor! The first time we hung out outside of work he took myself and some of our other close friends off roading. Needless to say we almost died that day because we almost fell off of a cliff. Even after that crazy experience I still decided it was a good idea to move in with Dicky so that we could be roommates. Well shortly after I moved into his apartment we began to go on more adventures together and realized we had so much in common. From that point forward we fell in love and the rest is history!

No, this is not a romantic story! One night while we were driving to a casual dinner Dicky looked at me and said, " I guess you are my girlfriend now". In which I replied, "I guess I am huh". That is it, that is the whole story folks.

On the day of our proposal, Dicky and I were on a cabin trip with our family. The morning of the proposal we all woke up bright and early to go on a sunrise hike. After the hike we all went to breakfast in Woodland Park. Some of our family members finished their breakfast and headed back to the cabin early. Dicky, myself and Abby arrived to the cabin a little while after. When we arrived to the cabin Dicky took my hand and guided me to the backside of the property where there was a beautiful space with a firepit. While walking I kept asking Dicky where we were going. As we continued walking I saw rose petals leading down the stairs to the firepit area and our song was playing, "speechless." As we walked down the stairs I could feel my heart racing. Once we got to the base of the stairs, Dicky turned me around and our closest friends and family popped out from behind a shed. Dicky and I continued to just hug and hug (If you were there you know)! Dicky then got on one knee and asked me to marry him in which of course I replied, "YES"! At this point both of us were shaking with adrenalin and excitement. Our family and friends embraced us and for the remainder of the day we could not stop saying, "I cant believe you are my fiancé". Everyone was shocked that I had no idea but it was truly the best surprise of a lifetime.
