We're so excited to celebrate with you

Charlotte's story: Sophomore year at Furman, I was trying to decide who to take to Boots & Bowties, a KD date function. While on Facebook, I stumbled upon a cute guy who went to Furman. That same day I found out the guy I planned on asking was going to be out of town that weekend. I asked my friend Katie Lee who I should take, and she told me I should take this guy named Stephen in one of her classes. He turned out to be the cute guy from Facebook! We had a great time and ended up swing dancing the whole night. I was smitten. That night, he told me, “We should go out sometime.” I agreed and proceeded to tell all my friends that he was going to ask me out any day now… 7. Weeks. Later. He finally asked me on a date, after I told his roommate Matt that I still liked him (it pays to be bold, ladies). In his text asking me out, Stephen apologized for "not having his head screwed on straight,” and we still joke about it today. We dated all through college and did long distance for almost 2 years. We are so thankful long distance is over and are excited to start our lives together as husband and wife this year! Stephen's story: Sophomore year at Furman, Charlotte and I were set up to go together to her sorority function never having met. I was Charlotte's third option for the date. Her first option was out of town. So she decided to take her second option. However, Marra, a sorority sister and also a friend of mine from golf, had already told me that Charlotte was taking me. So, Charlotte begrudgingly decided that she had no choice but to take me. We had a great night together, but I dragged my feet a bit in asking her out. After some urging from Matt Lehman, I decided it was time to take action and not keep Charlotte waiting any longer. We dated through our remaining time at Furman and survived Charlotte going abroad for 3 months junior year and 2 years of long-distance after college. We cannot wait to start our lives together this year!
