Food and Drink

We highly recommend you bring all your food and drink for your stay on the island with you on the ferry. There are several grocery and liquor stores in New Bedford. It is a dry island, so all alcoholic beverages must be brought with you! There is only one restaurant on the island at the fishing club, and the lobster shack which has lobby rolls and chicken sandwiches. There is a very tiny market on the island for some basics. Another option is to use the Peapod grocery delivery, which can be delivered to the island by the ferry. Recommendations: Stop and Shop - large grocer Down to Earth Natural Foods - small, organic focused Barry's Fine Wine and Spirits The Butcher Shop We suggest making a loose plan of meal ideas to make shopping easier when you arrive to New Bedford. Keep it simple. And don't forget to get mixers for drinks! Please reach out if you have any questions. https://www.petesplacerentals.com/cuttyhunk This link has a nice overview of on island food options.
