Joe and Charlette's love story commenced in 2018 in Chico, California. Joe had relocated from Thousand Oaks that January for work, while Charlette was scheduled to move up later that summer. Joe began his new job alongside Ashley, a friend and former manager of Charlette's. Interestingly, Charlette had been managing the social media for Ashley's startup, gatherologie, aiding couples in planning weddings in the San Luis Obispo area. After collaborating for a few weeks, Ashley saw a potential match between Joe and Charlette and, later, reached out to Charlette to gauge her interest in going on a date with Joe. Even before her move to Chico, Charlette had a feeling that she and Joe were destined for a serious relationship (and she was right). He was the 'Cup of Joe' (Joe's original username on AOL) to her 'CupofCharlatte' (Charlette's username across platforms since high school). From their very first date, Joe was captivated by Charlette, although he doubted whether she would reciprocate his feelings. Surprisingly, Charlette not only liked him but also took the initiative for their second date. Ever since then, they've been inseparable. Their engagement unfolded in the summer of 2019 during a magical trip to Massachusetts. Joe had coordinated with Charlette's brother and now brother-in-law, Dominik and Robbie, to plan the proposal. They surprised Charlette with a drive to Provincetown in Cape Cod, where they rented a boat for a short journey to a small island housing a lighthouse. In front of the lighthouse, Joe dropped to one knee to ask Charlette to marry him, though his nerves initially caused him to forget to take the ring out of his pocket. Charlette said yes, and they initially eloped in January 2021 after realizing that the wedding they had planned for that spring wouldn't work due to the pandemic. Since 2018, their family has expanded. In 2019, they rescued Annie, a 5-year-old Pit/Lab mix who has become the most cherished dog in their lives. On November 30th, 2021, they welcomed their first child, Amelia, who has brought immeasurable joy and light into their lives. They are also incredibly grateful for the loving and supportive people who surround them, enriching their lives daily with boundless joy.
