Krista was out in San Diego visiting Lena and Galen Landis the weekend before Griffin was born. Alyssa was also out there the same weekend. Chas had just moved to San Diego to start his training in the F18. Chas was throwing a St. Patrick's Day party so, naturally, everyone went to his house to celebrate. Alyssa, Lena and Krista have a photo from that day on Chas' rooftop. Krista went back to school in Maryland and didn't think much of it. It was a few months after that when Chas reached out to Krista and the journey began.
