The smile that keeps me smiling.
I was starting a new job at Eastern Shore Hyundai, I was nervous but excited to do something new. Sam the service manager showed me around and introduced me to the entire team. Andy at the time was a porter. He waved at me, and gave me this half smile. I thought he was cute so I was to shy to go shake his hand. Instead I gave him a brief wave blushed and looked down. It wasn’t to much longer after that he was borrowing pens from me every day he was at work. I could almost tell you exactly what time of the day he’d stop by for one of my pens. Eventually it went from “Hey can I borrow a pen?” To “Hey how’s your day?” Then a “Can you take me home today?”. We rode in silence most of the ride. I was nervous, and oddly enough worried he was going to think my car was a disaster. Weeks were going by and we started talking more, and I remember looking forward to our convos, and caught myself glancing out the window to see if he was around. The next thing I knew he was asking me out to a movie, and I couldn’t had been any more excited or nervous. I was inwardly freaking. It was a “oh my god this cute guy who makes me blush every time he even looks at me wants to go to the movies with me!” I felt like a kid again. I think he did too. That night I took a risk and kissed his cheek, and told him goodnight. The next thing I know I’ve fallen head over heels and we’re planing a wedding!
