We are less than 3 weeks away, and are ecstatic!! The final stretch is upon us, and so is the time for final decisions to be made. There have been a few changes to our wedding day as Arnold and I have navigated the ever changing "restrictions" related to the current COVID-19 situation. Our guest list has become smaller (sadly) and our reception venue has changed. For our dear guests, we are unfortunately unable to accommodate for all you lovely people - and we are terribly sorry for that. It has been breaking our hearts. We waited as long as we could, but we want to be respectful of your time and plans. Please accept our apology. However, we are absolutely thrilled to be able to have our family and close friends in attendance. Please review your RSVP. Search your name again, and you'll see the events that you are invited to. If your invitation says Nuptial Mass; you are good to go and we look forward to seeing you. If you were or have been changed to a reception ONLY invitation, we are sadly informing you that we can no longer accommodate to have you all celebrate with us. We were hopeful we would be able to have more people at our venue, but since things have changed this is no longer the case. Which leads into the next change of having our reception held at Chantel's family farm. Please review the timeline of events page for the address. We are bummed to not be able to utilize Floral Hall at Graham Park, but we are appreciative and thankful Mom & Dad are able to provide this space for us. Although these unforeseen and unfortunate changes are having to be made - Arnold and I recognize how blessed we truly are! Through all of this we have come to see even more clearly what is truly important and have learned to let go of our own plans and desires. We trust that God's plans are far greater. Arnold & I met in prison. No, not as inmates ;) We both worked {still are} at FMC Rochester. Our story begins with an innocent proposal from a Chipotle burrito. No joke! Arnold bought Chipotle for lunch one day, and had the employees write "Ms. Menchaca" on my burrito. What can I say, the guy has moves - or was extremely confident! From then I was candidly known as his "work wife". Thus, our story begins.... We've known each other for about 6 years now. It wasn't until I moved back to Rochester that we saw each other on a more frequent basis. Before dating, we grew a close friendship. So many fun memories with friends, family, and each other. Lots of phone calls that would last for hours, but felt like 5 minutes. Arnold was very good at convincing me to join him for almost anything. However, it really didn't take much convincing to get me to hang out. I found myself looking forward to his phone calls, and our random hang outs. We both were becoming of great comfort & importance to each other, and our friendship was something we valued. So much so, that I was real hesitant to enter into the dating realm with him - but I'm so thankful for his patience and persistence. It was such a natural transition, and we haven't looked back since! Truly a gift to have that foundation. We have experienced so much growth in many ways together as a couple, and as individuals, since that first "official" date. We both know the Lord's hand was leading us. We've come to see even clearer that our true source of joy and happiness comes from Jesus. We are honored, thrilled, excited, nervous, and at peace with becoming an image of Christ's love for his Church through our marriage. Two imperfect people, called to reflect perfect love. What a challenge, what a journey, what a life - we can't wait! Arnold & I are eagerly counting down and preparing for our wedding day, and most importantly our marriage.
