Travel & Lodging

The Wedding Website of Chantal Lim and Samuel Hastings
We've listed several options for lodging in Santa Barbara. We did not block out rooms given the large amount of lodging options available, so feel free to book a room where you feel most comfortable. The hotels we've listed below are within a mile from the wedding venue and are located in close proximity to many shops and restaurants in Santa Barbara. In addition, Airbnb and Vrbo have fantastic rental options near our venue, so feel free to look there as well. As accommodation is highly in demand in Santa Barbara during the summer time, we do recommend booking early. For those who are flying in, Santa Barbara (SBA) or Los Angeles (LAX) are both viable options with a few caveats below.

Flight

SBA or LAX

Santa Barbara has a local airport (SBA) that is a short car ride from all hotel and rental suggestions. However, there are only a few airlines that fly directly into this airport, so you'll likely have a layover coming from the East Coast. Los Angeles (LAX) is another option for those who are flying in. The most direct route between Los Angeles and Santa Barbara is Route 101. That said, we highly recommend you incorporate stretches of the Pacific Coast Highway into the drive for a more scenic journey if you choose this route. Driving this section will give you the chance to visit some cool coastal towns and cities and see many other fantastic sights and tourist attractions within Southern California. From Los Angeles, take Interstate 10 towards the coast to Santa Monica. From there, the Pacific Coast Highway will lead you along a fantastic stretch of coastline towards Malibu and Point Mugu State Park. You'll also pass Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area to the north. Once you pass Point Mugu Beach, you will start to head inland until you join Route 101 just past Oxnard. This will guide you all the way to Santa Barbara, passing by the likes of Ventura and Carpinteria along the way.
