Corey had been in banking for 8 years. Chanson had previous banking experience while pursuing a music career and entrepreneurship. In Feb 2022, after losing her brother, Harold Calhoun Jr. , Chanson had no idea that God would bring her to her future husband not even a month later. Chanson and Corey were scheduled to work together in a 2 person office for 2 weeks straight. After working together and sharing conversations about God, work, family, the future and oh! don’t forget about CHESS, a connection Sparked!

On Sunday March 24, 2024 Corey organized a Suprise Easter Egg hunt for 3YO SON KOIYE. A beautiful chilly day on the waterfront ended with one last EGG, hidden under a large art structure. Corey and Chansons Family Gathered around and celebrated the Engagement!
