We're getting married!

Tracey is a mutual friend of both of our mothers, and after both moms asked Tracey if she knew of someone that would be a good fit for their child, she told them about the other one’s child. August 25, 2021 Hannah got a text from Tracey saying she told Chase’s mom about her. Chase was interested in getting to know Hannah and decided to add her on Facebook. After a few messages back and forth, the conversations became easy. So easy that we talked through texts and long calls all day every day, before meeting in person. September 5, 2021 We went on our first date at Frankie Bones in Bluffton, SC. We arrived at the restaurant really early and decided to sit in Chase’s truck until it was closer to the reservation time. While talking to each other in Chase’s truck, Hannah heard a weird noise coming from her purse and when she pulled her phone out, she realized her mother had been on FaceTime for the first 15 minutes of us meeting in person. Talk about embarrassing. To top that off, Hannah decided to order “Grilled Octopus” not knowing it was a literal tentacle on a plate. Chase was very sweet and offered his pasta, but Hannah put on her brave face and suffered through every crunch of every crispy suction cup that was on the tough flavorless tentacle. Thankfully, Hannah’s choice of entree did not scare Chase off. He suggested for us to watch the sunset in Old Town Bluffton by the marsh. Afterwards, Chase took Hannah on a golf cart ride to show her some places and shared his childhood memories attached to them. September 26, 2021 Chase asked Hannah to be his girlfriend. The whole first year and few months were full of many trips and adventures, A LOT of brunch, lunch, and dinner dates and daily snuggles while binge watching shows. We were given our couple’s nickname “Channah” by Gian Carlo and we love it so much, we decided that to be our wedding hashtag. #Channah2023 After just one year, we have created a crazy strong bond with each other and have become very best friends. December 18, 2022 Chase drove Hannah to Old Town Bluffton to meet her best friend that does photography on the side. Briana had reached out days prior asking for help with a photoshoot she was doing for some families. She then offered to take some pictures of Hannah and Chase as a thank you for helping. When Hannah and Chase arrived, they met Briana down by the marsh right before sunset, and as she was taking pictures of them, Chase got down on one knee and proposed!
