Jeremy and Chandler's paths must have crossed multiple times throughout their lives.... On our first date we realized that we had a lot in common and this was just the start of learning how many opportunities we should have met before. Below are a list of times in our lives we should have met, but the timing was not quite right. Childhood We grew up one town apart. Chandler grew up in Irvine and Jeremy grew up in North Tustin. One of Jeremy's closest friends mom was Chandler's varsity swim coach for all four years of High School. (Hi Coach Bangs) College Jeremy and Chandler lived in Santa Barbara at the same time. Jeremy lived on the main street called Del Playa and Chandler lived on the backside of Del Playa called El Nido. Chandler would do a daily run to the beach by Jeremy's house, yet we never met. Semester at Sea In the Spring of 2009, Chandler and Karly (Jeremy's sister) circumnavigated the world on a ship from January to May. We lived on a converted cruise ship with 700 other students while studying abroad and traveling the world. Karly and I lived on the ship at the same time and were on some the same trips. Specifically, we were on the same trip in India that we both vividly remember. Chandler's parents and sister, Madison, flew out to Vietnam for the family trip. If only the Sills' family would have come, our families would have met in 2009 in Vietnam. UCI NICU As some of you may know, Chandler is a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit nurse at UCI Health in Orange, CA. Jeremy's dad, Dr. Jack Sills, was the Medical Director and Attending Neonatologist for over thirty years. Chandler had heard about Dr. Jack Sills since she started as a new graduate nurse in 2013, but had never met him. However, most of the nurses Chandler works with have known Jeremy's family for years. And finally.... Bumble If you have not heard of bumble yet, we will give a brief explanation. It is a dating application where two people match and the woman has to message the guy first to start the conversation. Last summer Jeremy and Chandler matched on Bumble. We chatted for a week or so and then Jeremy asked Chandler to meet for drinks at Haven Gastropub in Orange. Chandler was running late because she lost track of time boogie boarding with her friends kids in Huntington, but eventually made it to meet Jeremy. We talked the night away and the rest is history. Best first date of our lives because we found our forever person. After all these instances in our lives- we finally met at just the right place and right time.
