My Mom had started dating someone (now my step Dad, Marc) and moved back home to Pampa, Tx. Chris and his Dad came to town for a golf tournament with his Dad's best friend (my step dad, Marc). I was 12...He was 15. HA! I happened to be in town visiting my Mom for the weekend, and these random people named Chris and Heath walked into my Mom's house. I was a little iffy, but eventually warmed up to this guy. We hit it off and became great friends. We took a trip to Allsups to get fried burrito's and green chile chimmys! Chris even let me drive his Dad's Ford Expedition (sorry Heath). After a weekend of fun, swimming, playing catch, and eating burritos (ha ha ha) Chris went home. Over the years we kept in touch here and there. Chris and Heath came down for a few more golf tournaments. We chatted on the phone for a couple years, and when i graduated high school and finally turned 18 we started dating. I've never looked back and fallen more in love every single day. . .
My rock star Dad had been telling us that he had a chiropractic event in Lubbock, Tx for a month or so. Little did I know Chris had been in and out of Lubbock making huge plans for the best proposal. Chris and I headed to Lubbock early that day and went to Chuy's for a grande marg and some queso. Funny thing was I should've known something was up due to how fast Chris slurped his drink down and ordered another ha ha ha! We left Chuy's and walked into the beautiful Willow's Event Center! Chris had set up a fish feeding (I was not fully convinced there were even fish in the pond), but went along. We got to the perfect spot underneath a huge set of willow tree's and turned around to Chris on a knee. We walked down a few steps and in a room with a huge window was all of our closest family and friends. He had planned the most perfect party with the people I love most!
