As most of you know, Chad and I met on a dating site. Can anyone guess which one? Haha. If you guessed tinder, you are right! We matched sometime in early November, and we texted back and forth for awhile. He asked me out a couple of times, but I kept having to bail because I worked late most nights. He even said to me "this is the last time I'm going to give this a try" haha, so I knew I HAD to make this happen. We finally got out on December 9, 2022. He took me to this really nice restaurant called Eight Settlers. (it was delicious, I definitely recommend) We sat and ate dinner, chatted for hours! It was one of the best dates of my life. He was very easy to talk to, very kind, very sweet, and half of the time I didn't know what to say because he made me nervous and I would freeze. (hello, have you seen the man?!) But we had such a good time and I knew I had a little crush on him. Little did I know, this night would be the night that changed both of our lives forever. After dinner, we went back to his place and chatted all night long, probably until 2 or 3am! Maybe kissed a little, haha. At the end of the night, we both agreed we wanted to see each other again and I was ecstatic! Our next date night was 5 days later on December 14, 2022. He took me to Olive Garden, and before I could even sit down, he asked me to be his girlfriend. I laughed and said "good one" and he kind of just looked at me like I was crazy, but I was also looking at him like HE was crazy. Turns out he wasn't joking... and I felt pretty bad. But I still said no. Fast forward though the night, dinner was great, we went back to his place again and just chatted.. but this time.. about 2 minutes into the conversation, he asks me to go to California with him over Christmas break to meet his mom! I don't know about you, but I was like "this guy is crazy" LOL. It's obvious that I move pretty slow, and wasn't ready for commitment, or even close to being ready to meet his mom, I had only known him for 2 days! Haha. Anyways, fast forward. He went to California, and I stayed in Utah and spend Christmas with our families. We texted every day, we facetimed every night, and I started to miss him every day we weren't together. He came home the night of Dec 27, and I was so excited to see him, I ended up driving to his house the second he got home because I missed him so much! That night, we were deciding what to do or where we should go for New Years Eve! We both agreed on Vegas, and we went with some friends. It was probably the best trip I've ever been on. Because it was with someone I really wanted to be with. We ended up getting there the next day, on December 28, and that night, WE FINALLY BECAME OFFICIAL. It all happened so fast, I was nervous but also excited for what could come from this relationship. About 2 months later, I ended up moving in with him. 3 months after that, we got engaged! And now, we are getting married! Crazy how life works. But I don't regret anything. I believe everything happens the way it's meant to be. God knew I needed him in my life. I am so lucky to be this man's future wife. He is kind, thoughtful, loyal, supportive, trustworthy, loving, caring, all of the good things in a relationship, and also in a friendship. But the best one, he makes me the happiest I've ever been. He spoils me, and treats me like I'm the only girl in the world. NOW LET'S SAY I DO
