Thanks to our matchmaker best friends, Jennifer & Michael Sousa, we get to celebrate our luck and love on this special day with you! On a cold November night, after several years of Jaclyn hearing, "You gotta meet Chad Fu," Jaclyn finally did just that :) Since you are reading this, you already know that we LOVE to eat. So Chad and Michael decided that we would go for an awesome (and very boujee) dinner at Philippe Chow in NYC. The thought was, even if we didn't hit it off, we'd at least have a good time eating a delicious meal. Nonetheless, Jaclyn headed into the city with the Sousas, while Chad took way too early of a NJ transit train, and walked from 34th to 59th in the freezing cold to kill time. Our very first dinner was amazing, to say the least, and our true blind date was a success. The food was outstanding, and Chad even taught the crew how to properly roll peking duck wraps (which might have been the moment that stole Jaclyn's heart). Chad sealed the deal when he later asked if Jaclyn wanted to meet for brunch at Cebu, in Bay Ridge. By this time, it was clear that they both shared the same path to their hearts: food. They each took turns over the Verrazano Bridge, showing each other their favorite places and exploring new ones together. Jaclyn eventually left Brooklyn and moved in with Chad after he could convince her that Jersey's pizza and bagels would suffice and the rest is history. Jaclyn fell in love with New Jersey at the same time she fell in love with Chad Fu. Over the past 4 years, Jaclyn showed Chad a world of friends that became family. Since Chad knew that Aruba was Jaclyn's favorite place in the world, he coordinated with her FRamily to propose to her on July 30th, 2023 on vacation. After almost 6 months of planning with her best friend, Catherine, he pulled off the PERFECT proposal at a beachside restaurant. Of course, Jaclyn said YES!! Her dreams came Fu and they can't wait to celebrate their marriage with all their favorite people! <3
