Christopher and Colby first crossed paths during their freshman year at Misericordia University, where Christopher played lacrosse and Colby played field hockey. They met at a college party—Colby was sober for an upcoming game, while Christopher had enjoyed a few drinks. Living just down the hall from each other for two years, the two grew close, with Christopher’s roommate, James Pedersen, quickly becoming a trusted friend and confidant to them both. They soon realized they had grown up just a few towns apart, attending rival high schools, and shared a deep love for Philly sports—a bond that only strengthened through the shared ups and downs of being Philadelphia fans. Their relationship turned official under the iconic Rockefeller Christmas tree on December 14th, 2014 when Christopher asked Colby to be his girlfriend during a memorable NYC trip with college friends. After college, life took them in different directions. Christopher moved to Albany, NY to coach lacrosse and pursue a master’s degree, marking the start of a three-year long-distance relationship. In 2021, they were finally reunited, moving in together in Conshohocken. They enjoyed three years of simple, happy living before purchasing their first home together in July 2024. Just a month later, Christopher proposed on the beach in Longport, NJ, surrounded by family and friends who had gathered to celebrate their engagement. Today, the couple loves hosting game nights with friends, cheering on Philly sports, watching movies, attending comedy shows, and exploring new places together.
