In 2015, when our family lived in Illinois and Caleb & Kayla first started becoming more serious in their relationship– I (Cece) got to go on the first big trip with Kayla to visit the Sturtevant family. Got to meet my long distant best friend, Maria in person, and then another Sturtevant brother as well;) We didn’t talk much that first trip but oddly enough I had a strong feeling that something might develop between us in the future. Over the years of visiting the beautiful PNW, Christian and I began slowly getting to know each other more and growing a friendship:) it wasn’t long before I was pretty certain we would marry someday (when/if it was God’s timing!) Still, all of the traveling to & from, saying goodbye over & over again got challenging at times. In October 2018, I got the chance to visit the Spillers in South Carolina with Maria (for the births of Walter & Eden!) Coincidentally (or maybe not;) Christian was flown down there for work at Maddox that same time. We both agree that was a really fun trip and gave us a great opportunity to hang out more! It solidified in both our minds there was definitely something between us…but once again, we said goodbye and went home to our separate states. In summer 2019, due to a job change for my dad, our family moved 2,000 miles across the country to Washington state! After a few months of transitioning into our new life routine out here, Christian officially asked to begin our dating relationship! And the rest is history:) The whole "story" is obviously very shortened but hopefully it helps you to get to know us a little better! Looking back it all seems to have played out so natural and easy, although it never feels like that in the moments! We were both taught patience and a lot of trust in His timing before & during the relationship. I can’t believe we’re here now... getting married so soon!
