Denver International Airport (DIA)

You will find the most budget-friendly flights into DIA, however, be prepared for a 4.5 hour drive to get from Denver to Crested Butte. You can either rent a car, or if you're feeling adventurous, take the bus from Denver to Gunnison that runs once daily (the Bustang - http://ridebustang.com/gunnison-denver-schedule/). Keep in mind that Denver traffic can get bad - especially on Fridays and during rush hour. If you're renting a car, there are quite a few rental options either at DIA or in the surrounding areas. New car sharing apps like Turo can provide additional vehicle options and flexibility on price.

Flight

Gunnison/Crested Butte Regional Airport (GUC)

Located in Gunnison, this is the closest, but most expensive, option for flying into Gunnison/Crested Butte. From here, it is a 35 minute drive (29 miles) from Gunnison to Crested Butte. You can either rent a car from the airport here, schedule a shuttle or take the free bus from Gunnison to Crested Butte (the bus stop is 0.75 miles from the airport).

Montrose Regional Airport (MTJ)

Located in Montrose, CO, this airport is about 2 hours from Crested Butte (94 miles). Flights are more affordable than flying into the Gunnison Airport and you can rent a car from the airport, or schedule a shuttle. During weekdays, Highway 50 between Montrose and Gunnison will be under construction and the detour around the Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park adds about 1.5 hours to the commute.

Airport Transfers to Crested Butte - Private or Shared Rides

Alpine Express offers private and shared rides from the Gunnison airport, or the Montrose airport. They offer a 1-hour courtesy stop during private airport transfers, and they have the best rates for groups of 4 or more. Book in advance.

Located at the base of Mt. Crested Butte, it is a quick drive up the hill (3 miles) from the town of Crested Butte. There is a free shuttle that runs from the town of Crested Butte to Mt. Crested Butte. Guests can book online using promo code “MCINTYRE” or through the link below, or guests may call the hotel directly and reference the McIntyre Wedding for the discount. If you have a Colorado ID the hotel has a 20% discount for Colorado locals and they allow pets.

House Or Rental

AirBnB or VRBO

As this is a popular mountain destination, there are many options to rent out homes or condos through either AirBnB or VRBO. You can either stay in the town of Crested Butte, up the road in Mt. Crested Butte, a few miles away in CB South, or in Gunnison. This is one of the best options if you're hoping to be within walking distance of the event. Keep in mind that this is over a holiday weekend, so places may book up quickly!

Crested Butte to Mt. Crested Butte Shuttle

This is a free shuttle that runs between the town of Crested Butte and Mt. Crested Butte every 20 minutes from 7:53AM to midnight. This is a good option if you are looking to stay at lodging in Mt. Crested Butte!

Old Town Inn is located in the town of Crested Butte, and is the closest lodging to our venue (0.4 miles away). It is centrally located, near the town market, and is 6-minute (0.4 mile) walk into the center of town. This is a more budget-friendly option in CB.

Located at the base of Mt. Crested Butte, WestWall Lodge offers studios, two- and three-bedroom luxury condos.

The Grand Lodge is located at the base of the Crested Butte Mountain Resort and is a quick drive up the hill (3 miles) from the town of Crested Butte.

Nordic Inn

This chalet-style inn is located in Mt. Crested Butte and is about 0.5 miles from Crested Butte Mountain Resort. The closest stop for the mountain shuttle to get into town is a 5 minute walk from the hotel. While you are much closer to many outdoor amenities, keep in mind that our wedding festivities will take place in the town of Crested Butte!

Located two blocks away from the main "downtown" of Crested Butte, this saloon-converted luxury lodge is in the heart of town. They offer airport pickup from Gunnison for an additional cost.

Cristiana Guesthaus, a cozy family run bed and breakfast lodge, is located close to the ceremony. Just one block north of Elk Avenue and the main business district, the lodge is a short walk to shops and restaurants and about 50 yards from the free shuttle to Crested Butte Mountain and to the Nordic ski center.

Gunnison Valley RTA - Free Shuttle from Gunnison to Crested Butte

Every half hour, the GVA RTA Free Bus runs a loop through the City of Gunnison before heading north on Hwy 135 to Crested Butte and Mt. Crested Butte. For anyone traveling with light luggage into the Gunnison airport, this is an affordable option to get to Mt. Crested Butte. Unfortunately, you will have to commute to the nearest stop as the RTA Free Bus does not stop at the Gunnison - Crested Butte Regional Airport and the buses are not equipped to handle any baggage other than carry on items.
