We met in 2015 at Tacoma General Hospital. Jason was already working in General Ultrasound, and Laura was an intern in the Vascular Ultrasound Lab. After 6 months of friendship, they realized they had feelings for each other and started talking more. Laura decided to make it obvious and walked over to talk to him pretty much any chance that she got, and Jason asked Laura on a date in time for Valentine’s day of 2016. They’ve been happily in love ever since!

Jason and Laura had a Friday off of work together, and decided to fill their day with fun activities. They decided on the golf range in the morning, Northwest Trek in the afternoon, dinner at the trains in Elbe, and a sunset hike somewhere near Mount Rainier. As Jason and Laura summited the hike at High Rook Lookout, the sun was starting to set, and they made their way to the lookout building. As they turned the corner, music started playing, and Laura saw that there were roses and candles lining the viewpoint, and a “Will You Marry Me?” Sign on the lookout with string lights and some pictures from their travels. Jason got down on one knee and asked her to spend the rest of her life with him, and she said YES!
