After Jorge saved all 8 shot attempts he had on goal on his High School Soccer team's Senior night, Devens knew if you can't beat them...join them. Once at Radford University, Devens and Jorge bumped in to each other again but this time the two were on the same side as they pledged a fraternity together and have been best friends ever since. Whether they are talking about John’s Cowboys losing to Jorge’s Redskins or reminiscing about Radtown days, or even going on hour long tangents about politics these two can talk for hours. And although they may not always agree on everything their opposing views and mutual respect for each other only makes them smarter which is why you can catch these two on the phone with each other at least 3 times a week!
John Leroy Stacy
Best Man
One of Jorge's most loyal friends for nearly two decades. Leroy also pledged alongside Devens and Jorge and has been Jorge's best friend ever since. They lived together in college and after college, until Jorge "The Best roommate ever" was replaced by John’s now wife Whitney. Although Jorge may now come second to Whitney today, their bike rides to breweries, St. Patrick's Day trips and South Florida shenanigans will always be a top memory.

Mario is Jorge's most tenured friend, their relationship extends about 35 and a half years or as far back as Jorge can remember, which was when he was introduced to his older brother back in 1984. Always the Protector in Chief, Mario always looked after his brothers Jorge and Oscar. A head of a family, Mario is also responsible for blessing Wendy & Jorge with the adorable nephews and a niece, Aaron, Isaac and the most adorable flower girl ever, Katie Grace...More about her in a minute :)

Jorge's first friend at Radford University, Kellen has always been like a big brother for Jorge. Always looking out for him, giving him advice, and always there to lend a helping hand. Kellen was Jorge's roommate in college and after college and the two have some of the best and most hilarious stories about the two Best Men.
Neil Haskell

I only picked him because he's famous like me 😁........Hahaha ok JUST KIDDING🙃......Neil is the bride Wendy's little brother and has become a close friend of Jorge. Every time Jorge & Wendy were in NYC, Neil was always there to meet up for drinks, grab delicious food, generously provide us with Hamilton tickets and let us stay at his apartment . A life long Bills fan, Jorge and Neil also bonded on their equal love for terrible football teams and their competitiveness to finally one day beat Joel (Neil's twin) in fantasy football.
Joel Haskell

Joel is the bride Wendy's other little brother and Neil's twin. Joel and Jorge met living in South Florida and bonded on their equal love for stand up comedy, beer, Netflix Comedy specials, beer, and terrible football teams (He's also a Bills fan, Jorge's a Redskins fan). Additionally, Joel is Jorge's yearly fantasy football ultimate rivalry which makes holidays that much sweeter or that much tougher for the loser.

Jeff is the bride Wendy's Oldest brother. Jeff met Jorge when Wendy first brought Jorge to Buffalo. They both bonded over the fact that you can't trust Wendy with children as she ran his oldest son Andy into a wall. After a good laugh and an ice pack for little Andy all was well. Jeff is also responsible for supplying Wendy & Jorge's other adorable niece and nephews, Alice, Andy, and the ring security agent Elliot.
Oscar Alfaro

Oscar was Jorge's baby brother. Although Oscar is no longer with us, his memory lives on and his spirit and joy will be honored and felt at both the ceremony and reception. Jorge loved Oscar very much and although Wendy never met Oscar she can feel the love in every story we tell about him today.

Sary has been Wendy's best friend since college when Wendy first spotted her cheerleader ponytail in Physiology 300. Since then they've been roommates in Buffalo, NYC & Miami where the "Adventures of Wendy & Sary" were filled with nonstop laughter, fun, & making friends with everyone they could. Sary & Wendy traveled to Washington DC for Wendy's bday in 2015, where all the magic started for Wendy & Jorge. <3 Wendy & Sary watched Jorge's giraffe legs walking in front of them at the bar after the game, & they knew that this first date for Wendy and Jorge could eventually mean children with limbs that could break the Guinness Book of World Records for length, & they were IN! :) Jorge passed all the best friend tests, so we kept him! lol

Erin is Wendy's big sister! For as long as Wendy can remember, she wanted to be like Erin. As much as Erin may not even realize, Wendy always looked up to her, & as annoying as it was that Wendy had to have & had to do everything that Erin did, Wendy has always admired her. Erin has the most drive and determination of anyone Wendy knows, & it's something else that Wendy aspires to have. When Wendy was 4 years old, she saw Erin doing gymnastics, so of course, she wanted to too! The first day Wendy learned a back handspring, she came home to show their Dad, Charlie, & landed directly on her head. But she thought she would be able to do it, because Erin could! LOL. Erin has always been supportive of her little sister, & has been a rock to her when she needs someone to talk to <3
Amy Braouwn

Amy Braouwn (Wendy always spells her name wrong on purpose & never says her name without her last name) & Wendy played volleyball together at UB (#GoBulls!). When Wendy hurt her knee & became the team entertainment instead, Amy Braouwn was right there to encourage her antics! In 2016 when Wendy was moving to California & needed a brave travel buddy, Amy Braouwn jumped at the chance! From Buffalo, they stopped at the Jim Beam factory for a tasting & Christmas festivities, almost went diamond hunting in Arkansas, Almost died in Dallas, Almost went to Mexico in El Paso, Almost fell off a cliff hiking in AZ, but finally made it to Orange County! There is also a VERY funny story about Wendy and Amy's prank phone call name.. JORGE in college.. but you can as us when you see us about that!

Ashley was Wendy's first friend in middle school. She also gave Wendy her first CD.. which was the Clueless movie soundtrack, which pretty much sums up the rest of Wendy's life! Ashley lived together with Wendy's brother Neil in NYC in the most terrifying apartments in NYC, but then lived with Wendy in Miami on the water for a bit, in which they had NO FUN AT ALL lol. Ashley is the most dependable, responsible, and able to make Wendy do things, like make decisions- kind of friend and Wendy LOVES her for all of that!! <3 Ashley has the most adorable babies, and although Wendy isn't able to always see them or her, she knows Ashley will always be FAMILY <3

Marcella & Wendy met in Physical Therapy school, & have been close ever since! From going to Bills games, to playing games with Marcella's kids, they always seem to be laughing! Wendy's personal favorite is that Marcella's daughter insisted that Wendy was a real live princess when she was around 3 years old. Marcella was the one to encourage Wendy to enter the "Buffalo's next top Model" contest when they were in college, which eventually led to Wendy doing Sports Broadcasting, which in a round about way, allowed Jorge to message Wendy on twitter, and in turn... Get married! LOL, thanks Ella!!
Michele Pearson

Michele is the sister Jorge never had. A life long Redskins fan, Michele and Jorge have been spotted at many of Redskins games. A lover of puppies like Jorge, Michele's pup Tucky was technically Jorge's first nephew. Jorge and Michele have been great friends for over 12 years and she was quick to tell Jorge that Wendy was a keeper! Since then Michele and Wendy have bonded over their love of a good red wine.
Ricky Hunjan

Ricky AKA Gurpreet “The Hunj” Hunjan, has been one of Wendy’s closest friends since Physical Therapy school. Despite being somewhat (ok.. complete) class clowns.. they both managed to be top of their class. After school, Ricky married Nikki, whom Wendy refers to as an angel for putting up with their antics! When Hurricane Sandy hit NYC & Wendy lost her apartment, Ricky & Nikki welcomed Wendy & her twin sized air mattress to live in their living room in NJ. Most of the time you can find Wendy and Ricky doing something ridiculous to make people laugh (or let’s face it, just to amuse themselves) which when Ricky and Jorge met.. meant a match made in heaven, as Jorge also loves doing this!

Mario is Jorge’s father. A good writer, both Mario and Jorge share their love of writing. They are both also sports fans and even got the chance to be alongside each other on the Spanish Language radio call for the Washington Redskins for an entire season back in 2008.

Pilar is Jorge’s mom and Jorge is her favorite son.....😁 Just kiddingggg 🙃 Pilar has always been there for her son and they share a special bond. She’s visited Jorge in the many cities he’s lived and they have made many memories. Jorge loves his mom very much and although he has been far away for the past decade, whenever they see each other, it’s like he never left. When Pilar first met Wendy she knew that Wendy was the strong, kind hearted woman Jorge needed to settle down.
Charlie Haskell
Father of the Bride
Wendy and her dad have a very close relationship. Some may say (including Jorge) that she is a little bit of a daddy's girl <3 ...Charlie is her go to person for any and everything, and he is always there to give her advice, give a hug if she needs it, or tell amazing stories about all of his adventures of his life. When Charlie and Jorge met for the first time, they immediately hit it off, which meant the world to Wendy. Now that Charlie and Jorge are so close, Jorge fully understands why Wendy constantly tells horrible/AMAZING dad jokes! We love you Daddy!!

Wendy and her mom Cindy also have a very close relationship, and Jorge credits Wendy's sweet and innocent side to Cindy and her kind and adorable ways. Cindy is always the first person to put other people ahead of herself, and has instilled that in all of her kids. Wendy is so grateful to have such a loving, caring person to call her momma!! Just like Charlie and Jorge, Cindy and Jorge have become very close, she adores Jorge as a son, and was pushing for Wendy and Jorge to get married long before they did!! lol We both love you so much Mom!! <3

Katie Grace is Jorge's first niece and cutest flower girl out there. She is the daughter of Jorge's older brother Mario. Katie and Uncle Jorge share a great bond and the bride and groom are thrilled to be able to include her in the ceremony!
Harley & Milly

Meet Harley and Milly, Jorge & Wendy’s two children. Jorge rescued Harley when she was just 8 weeks old and Milly joined the family in January 2018 after spending her whole life with her beloved Dad, the late great Oscar Alfaro. Wendy still recalls and tells Jorge that before they met she swore to never date anyone with dogs because of her severe allergies to their fur. And well here we are now! 🐶🐶 Harley & Milly miss Daddy and Momma very much but hope everyone understands that they are not winter dogs and are going to celebrate the happy couple from afar.
Brent Anderson

When trying to decide who should officiate their vow renewal, one of the first people that came to mind was Brent. Brent has been like a second dad to Wendy since she was about 23 years old. Brent was Wendy's first boss & quickly became a mentor to her, not only for physical therapy, but for life. When Wendy first moved to Miami for her residency for her doctorate, Brent was there to guide her. Brent & his wife Lizette "adopted" Wendy as one of their own, invited her to family dinners, & even took care of her after knee surgery! When Wendy first told Brent about Jorge, he insisted on meeting him and giving him the "Dad test" ..thankfullyJorge passed, and Brent has since become a special person in both their lives. We are VERY excited & grateful to have Brent officiate our vow renewal!
