Being my oldest sister, Meredith paved the way for me from a young age. If she played volleyball… so did I, if she went to Mercy High School… so did I, you get the picture. Meredith is selfless, funny + quick-witted. She has always been so supportive of me, traveling to the last 3 cities Tyler + I have lived in! Always down for a good time + a long night of partying - Meredith will be “the gift that keeps on giving”.
Petey Drescher
Best Man
Petey + I have been friends ever since the 5th grade. Our bond grew around our love for basketball, but extended off the court as we spent countless hours hanging out, fighting for no reason + doing more dumb stuff than either of us will ever admit. Just ask him about "coning"! Petey has been there for me every step of my career from instilling a competitive spirit in each other, to being high school state champs together, visiting me each year in college + coming to D.C. to see me score my first NBA points. To say I’m grateful for him is an understatement! My career has taken me away from Syracuse but whenever we see each other it’s like no time passed at all. Petey truly is the closest thing I've ever had to a brother. PSA - try to avoid this man at the bar... he can be very persuasive!
Kelsey Doyle Perkins

Kelsey is my older sister, the middle of us three Doyle girls and mother to my favorite human, and our ring bearer, Emmett Perkins. Kelsey has always been such a loving, protective sister. No matter what my question or complaint is, Kelsey is always there on FaceTime helping me through it. From drinking to dancing, Kelsey also enjoys herself a good time. Forever trying to get everyone drunk - Kelsey will be “the shot pusher”.
Erik Grendahl

First, Erik and I were born less than 24 hours apart, which has bonded us even closer as cousins. Erik is my father’s sisters son and he grew up in Virginia, but would make it up to Syracuse to visit every summer. There’s a long list of stupid things that Erik and I have done together up at the lake in our younger years. However, Erik is a very talented opera singer, who continues to pursue his passion while also working for an analytics company. His drive and determination continue to inspire me everyday!
Kayleigh Cavanaugh

Although Kayleigh is technically Tyler’s sister, she instantly made me feel like part of the family. Playing basketball at Geneseo University, Kayleigh is competitive, driven + often silly. Kayleigh always makes everyone feel cared for and included. She is constantly giggling + making people smile. She also just finished up her bachelors degree in Nursing therefore - Kayleigh will be “the chuckling caregiver”.
Steve Siechen
Groomsman
Steve is my eldest, male cousin on my moms (Cappelletti) side of our family. I have so many memories with Steve from spending countless hours in the gym watching his games, to him always blocking my shots when we would play on my Fischer Price hoop in the basement, to always badgering him to play video games with me. Growing up I always wanted to hang out with Steve and that bond has continued to grow even though we don’t see each other as much anymore. Now we spend most of our time together at the lake, on the water, in his boat or on the golf course. I will forever cherish his constant support of me and my career! I do not take for granted all the hours he’s spent in a car coming to watch my games!
Julia Cavanaugh

Julia, like her big sister Kayleigh, welcomed me with open arms. The thing that instantly stood out to me the most about Julia, was her undeniable, unwavering love for her big brother, Tyler. She made me feel just a glimpse of that love when she told me that if Tyler ever did anything to hurt me that “her mom, her sister + she herself would go after Tyler, then just then I would get my shot at him” Julia is fun, outgoing + persuasive. One time she even talked Doug + Joyce into taking a midweek, 4 day, vacation to New York City to watch Tyler win the NIT! For this reason Julia will be “the influencer of all drinks + fun”.
Dan Canfield
Groomsman
Dan is that one friend who always seems to be supportive and make fun of you at the same time. To this day, Dan tells people he dunked on me in varsity practice and truly believes he did, when it absolutely never happened ... but hey, I guess I will let him think he did. Dan is a super smart dude and I learned this in AP Calculus senior year at JD. He would only come to our after school study sessions once or twice a week in the months leading up to the test, while I was there EVERYDAY! Let's just say he passed with a nearly perfect score.. I had to retake the class in college. He’s followed me closely throughout my career and always cares to know how I am doing.
Emily Schearer

Emily Schearer cannot be explained in a single paragraph. All I know forsure is that I am grateful to Mercy High for bringing us together! Emily is kind, loving + hilarious. No matter the time or distance apart, when we come together it is always memorable. Her ability to dance in any situation is truly impressive - for that reason Emily will be “everyones go-to dance partner”.
Dajaun Coleman

My first memories of Dajuan are of a really tall and skinny 7th grader, who had the weirdest jumpshot I had ever seen! From our first travel basketball season, up until we finished high school, it was always Dajuan, Petey, + I going somewhere to play ball. We won a lot of games together but our relationship extended far off the court. Dajuan + I have always had this special bond of being collegiate athletes with aspirations to play at the highest level. Not many people understood our grind, like the summer after freshman year 6 am workouts everyday, but we could always rely on each other in good times or bad. I have always admired the strength + positivity Dajuan has shown throughout his career. PSA - Dajuan may look like an intimidating presence, but he’s the biggest teddy bear there is!
Maggie Skjelbred

I met Maggie in Washington, DC while playing volleyball together for the Colonials. She actually was Tylers very first friend at GW + probably the reason Tyler + I got together! Maggie has always been a good volleyball player and an even better friend. Maggie is energetic, sweet + adventurous. She too has visited us in each city throughout the last few years! As fate would have it, Maggie actually moved to Berlin for work on the exact same day I did! If you know Maggie, you know she will be “the energizer bunny”.
Austin Tousaw

STUMP! Ok, that’s mean but Austin has called me "Tree" since middle school so I guess its only fair for everyone to know his nickname too. My first memory with Austin was when we played together + dominated the 5th/6th grade JDYAA league on our way to the championship, let's just say he grew early. In our friend group Austin has always taken a lot of heat, but he is one of the hardest working people I know. He was the first one of us to have a real job in high school, he went to Syracuse University graduating with a computer science degree + now he travels all over the country for work projects. This guy is inspiring! Austin is the friend that keeps everyone together + diffuses every situation. He is easygoing, fun-loving + always the life of the party.
