Locally owned breakfast place in Marblehead. Cheap, CASH ONLY, but worth it. A line can form so good to get there early if planning to go.
If you go to only one of these recommendations, this is the one you have to see. These are the best bagels in all of New England. They are huge, cheap, and integral to the experience of living in Marblehead. There is a line in the mornings, it moves faster than it seems to. There is also a drive thru.
Old town Marblehead is historic and beautiful. This is the address to the Jeremiah Lee Mansion, which is within old town. Feel free to drop by Abbott Hall, or visit any of the shops in the area.
Nic first met Catherine's mom while she was at work here. Stowaway Sweets is a family run chocolate shop, as adorable as it sounds.
The first time Catherine showed Nic Marblehead they sat here and ate Bagel World together. Which is what most locals do here, if you're interested.
Best chowder (according to Catherine, who is admittedly new to chowder). View of the harbor, serves lunch and dinner.
Nic wanted us to add this. Apparently, the North Shore of Massachusetts is "famous" for roast beef. This was where Nic had his first one. He said it was very good. Catherine has never had roast beef, and does not plan to try it anytime soon.
The best Turkey Club you’ll ever have.
Great seafood, harbor views, small town atmosphere. Really good lobster rolls. Serves lunch and dinner.
Salem preps for Halloween as early as now. There are tons of walking tours, museums, and fun street stuff going on. The Witch Museum is a classic.
This is the restaurant where Nic first went to dinner with Catherine's parents. Needless to say, it went well. The food is great.
Famous in Marblehead for the drinks. Bar downstairs, bar and restaurant upstairs. Great food. HEAVY pours (if ordering mixed drinks, be careful about this), warm atmosphere.
The Red Sox are playing at Fenway 9/6 - 9/11. As long as you don't go the 7th, we think you'll have a great time.
