It's Finally Happening!

We met via an online dating site. If you know us then you know we are NOT the online dating type. After swiping yes to one another Cassie reached out to chat and the chatting hasn't stopped since. We made arrangements to have our first date at NOLA Brewing New Orleans. Cassie cancelled the first date (after working a 24) and Miranda almost called it all off. Thankfully on the first of September we finally met after texting constantly. The rest is history.

We've been talking about getting married for AT LEAST 4 years. Turns out we both are great procrastinators. Eventually, I planned a day of choose your own adventure activities. Miranda would chose one card after each activity to decide where we'd go next. I had poorly hidden the ring box in my bag, but Miranda knew before we even left the house and had my ring with her. So the day began with breakfast, followed by picking flowers where the proposal(s) happened and we ended the day over beers at Elkton Brewing.

As we've mentioned we're procrastinators. We'd talk about looking at engagement rings but we never would get around to it. Little did I know that there was a reason for that. Growing up in New Hampshire Cassie's Mom Sherry worked at a large family jeweler in her hometown. Cassie and I were finally able to make the trip to New England in 2024 to see where she grew up. During this trip we stopped into Barmakian Jewelers to just look at rings. No plan to purchase just look to see what they carried. Needless to say, we walked away with not one, but two engagement rings! Turns out Cassie had wanted to get her engagement ring from Barmakian Jewelers the whole time and just never told me!
