With Love

Our love story didn’t start out like many others! Jaimey was very persistent when it came to trying to take me out of a date but I always said no! Until September 19th 2021 I decided to give him a chance! We went on 1 date and I just knew after that this was the man I was going to marry! I told everyone I knew that he was the one! We would’ve never thought in a million years that this is where we would be over 2 years later! But here we are ready to start the rest of our lives

On the morning of December 23rd 2022, it was icy out so Jaimey wanted to take to take me out on a date! He states he wanted to go to Wonders of Wildlife and that he bought us tickets and that we had to go at 5pm because they were having event so they were closing down early. That was Red flag number 1 we had season passes to Wonders of Wildlife and he bought tickets?! I told him to return them because we have passes why would you buy tickets and then he said he couldn’t return the tickets because he already got them You don’t schedule times he should’ve known better because we have gone there many times. So we go to dinner at Texas Roadhouse before we head to Wonders of Wildlife and I was texting his sister because typically Charlie J’s nephew goes to J’s moms house on Fridays but Lainey told me that Charlie was sick and that he would not be going to Mimi’s house that weekend. This seems random but I promise it will make sense later now while we were at Texas Roadhouse I started to get suspicious We head to Wonders of Wildlife and we show up around 4:45 and he says he have to sit there and wait til 5 that was red flag number 2 This is not how Wonders of Wildlife works. 4:55 hits and we start walking in and I can feel J’s dragging me into the building I let go of his hand and tell him I can’t walk that fast and I turn my head to the right and I see his mothers car sitting there right in front of wonders of wildlife! I look at him and ask him why his mom is there and he goes “ oh I don’t know let me call her and ask” as we continue to walk into the building and my mind is racing a million miles a minute his mom picks up the phone and he asks her why she’s at Wonders of Wildlife and she tells him because she brought Charlie there because she has him for the weekend and he wanted to go now normally I would believe that because also likes to go to Wonders of Wildlife but that was red flag number 3 I spoke to Lainey earlier and she told me Charlie was not coming to Mimi’s house this weekend because he was sick! J forgets that I actually talk to his sister!! We scan our tickets and start walking into the aquarium I am stopping to look at things and he started practically dragging me through every room now that was red flag number 4 we go to wonders of wildlife we like to take our time! And the fact that he was dragging me made me question..as we were going through the aquarium I knew there was one place in that aquarium that if he was going to propose it was going to be there as we started approaching the jelly fish room he has me walk in front of him and as I turn the corner guess who was standing there you guessed it his mom! We ran straight into each other and her mouth dropped! As I looked behind her I noticed lights and rose petals and the lights spell out “ Will you Marry Me?” I turn around and jaimey is down on one knee! The photographer that comes with the proposal package wasn’t even there yet because she went to go and grab my stepdad and bring him in through the back so he could watch the proposal when we showed up! Now get this the other lady who works there who was stopping people from coming in the room stated that when we got there at 5 is should’ve taken us 45 mins to get to the front to where we were now when I say this is shows how FAST jaimey dragged me through that aquarium we went through the first half in 15 minutes! That’s how fast it took us to get from the front to the jelly fish. Which is why NO ONE was prepared for us to walk in the photographer wasn’t even there yet!He was nervous that I was gonna think something was up if he was texting on his phone because he knows I would’ve asked! right after J popped the question the photographer showed up with my stepdad! Jaimey has never been the best liar even with all of the hiccups when It came to the proposal it was still so special and I wouldn’t want it any other way Now wonders of wildlife holds a special place in our hearts
