Question

What should I bring to the ceremony & reception?

Answer

Be prepared for unpredictable coastal weather! We recommend sunscreen, sunglasses, beach friendly shoes, and a sweater or jacket. Temps range from 50s to 70s. Half Moon Bay is usually slightly colder/foggier than Pescadero. At night on the coast, even in July, it could be a bit nippy. We will have space heaters and blankets, but definitely feel free to bring a jacket!

Question

What should we expect at the cermony?

Answer

We won't be setting up chairs for everyone on the beach, but if you need a chair, please let us know and we would be happy to bring some comfy beach chairs! Also feel free to BYOC!

Question

Is smoking allowed?

Answer

Smoking is not allowed at the beach or at Pie Ranch.

Question

What is parking like at Venice Beach?

Answer

There should be plenty of parking, but plan to arrive by at least 2:30 pm. When you arrive, someone from our group will be handing out parking passes near the entrance. If you want to pick up your parking pass earlier let us know. We recommend carpooling, as a parking pass does not 100% guarantee there will be a spot for you at Venice Beach.

Question

What is parking like at Pie Ranch?

Answer

When you arrive at Pie Ranch, turn left on Green Oaks Way, just past the main entry to Pie Ranch's roadside barn (to the right of the barn). Drive down the road and park behind the barn to the left, near the Amah Mutsun Tribal Band's Native Garden.

Question

How long of a drive is it from the ceremony to the reception?

Answer

It's a breathtakingly beautiful 30 minute drive (29 miles) from Venice Beach to Pie Ranch. If you have time, drive through the cute historic town of Pescadero or check out Pescadero State Beach, where Jeff proposed!

Question

Can I arrive to the reception early?

Answer

Please arrive no earlier than 5:30 pm. :)

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

Due to space constraints with our venues, we are only inviting kids in the family and wedding party. That being said, please reach out to us if you have a hard time finding a babysitter and we'll see what we can do.

Question

Should we get tested for COVID-19?

Answer

Ideally we would like for everyone to get tested at least 1 or 2 days leading up to the event. However, we will wait and see what the coast’s local health officials recommend closer to the date and keep you all updated here on the website!

For all the days along the way
