Welcome, dear friends and family! Our journey together began on December 31st, 2022, in Costa Mesa at a little New Years Eve coffee shop party. On the drive up that night, I (Cate) did something I've never done before and sent up a prayer that I would meet my husband. I was tired of dating, and to be honest, I completely forgot the prayer once I walked into the party, but God must have not! A couple minutes in, Scott approached me with our mutual friend Zack, who I had been speaking to about beekeeping on his property. Scott recounts he was initially locked in by my blue eyes, funky dance moves, and southern warmth. I was intrigued by Scott's curly mullet, gregarious nature, and sincere love for Jesus. After a half hour of talking, Scott left our conversation and then circled back no more than 5 minutes later. He was silly, consistent, and not trying to play it cool, and I liked that. He circled back a couple times more, and we danced the night away. We recall we felt something divine in our first meeting, something that felt durable and long-standing. Scott asked for my number before I left that night. He invited me on a group date a couple days later, then on a one-on-one a couple days after that, and the rest is history! Now, seventeen totally perfect and flawless ; ) months later we are getting married, and golly, are we excited!!! We are overjoyed to have you, our community, by our side as we step into this winding and beautiful journey called covenant. Your love and support have been the foundation of our relationship, and we cannot wait to celebrate our special day with each and every one of you.
