Who knew that starting a new job would mean meeting the love of your life and your soulmate. That's exactly what happened with us. We started at Chick-Fil-A within two months from each other, and we were both in a place where we never thought we would find a relationship, let alone, the person you would spend the rest of your life with. We were cordial at first, but ultimately did not plan on making the effort to get to know one another further. That changed when Josh needed a ride home one evening, due to the weather. I offered to drive him since it was a cold and rainy evening, and we had just finished working a shift together. Once I pulled up to his place and parked, all it took was a simple conversation for us to spend 3 hours together talking and joking about our lives. From there, it became a routine for us to talk and our conversations grew deeper. It was to the point where it was only us two in the world; we completely understood each other and became close friends. About a month and a half of this, Josh made it clear that he had strong feelings for me and wanted to see where this could go. I on the other hand, was not sure due to my own fears of getting hurt; I needed some time. That did not deter Josh and only made him more persistent to show me that he was a safe space and that I could trust him. Within a month, I finally let him inside my heart and into my life; we never looked back because we knew we were meant to be. He broke down all my barriers and lifted me up when I couldn't stand, he was my heart in human form and I know he felt the same. It was the start of a love to last a lifetime. To think it all started when he walked into my office for the very first time at Chick-Fil-A.
