Question

Parking: where do I park on the day of the event?

Answer

The ceremony venue (Mission Basilica Church) and reception venue (Franciscan Gardens) are on the same street. Franciscan Gardens is only a short 4 minute walk from Mission Basilica. Addresses for both venues are under the “Schedule” page of our website. Parking is available in the structure behind Franciscan Gardens (located behind The Provincial Building off of Camino Capistrano). The paid public parking garage is accessible next to the venue or off of Verdugo Street and Camino Capistrano. See map provided at the top of this page. Public Parking charges $12.00 for All-Day (or $2.00 per hour) and our event will run for about 7 hours. Please plan accordingly! (or opt to Uber/Lyft, if you are staying nearby in the area)

Question

Where do I specify dietary restrictions & food allergies?

Answer

Please send an email to our wedding coordinator Christina, with Sunshine Events: christina@eventsbythecea.com (and CC our wedding email: castellowedding2023@gmail.com) Please specify "Castello Wedding (11/3/23) - Dietary Restriction" in the email subject line, along with first & last name and specify dietary restriction in message body NO LATER THAN OCTOBER 1ST

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we love your little ones, our wedding is going to be an adults-only event so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening! We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can fully celebrate with us!

Question

Are you registered anywhere?

Answer

As we embark on married life, we are so touched by the generosity shown by our loved ones. Our wedding registry details are on the "Registry" section of our website. In lieu of traditional gifts, you'll see that we've opted for a House Fund registry to help us pay for our 1st future home together. If you're able, we are so grateful for your contribution to this dream of ours. Alternatively, we also set up a Honeyfund - where guests can contribute whatever they can to our honeymoon to the Philippines in 2024. Anything you can donate is greatly appreciated.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We would love to be able to host everyone, but have a strict guest list for our wedding day. Our wedding is strictly RSVP only and we will only be able to accommodate those listed on your invitation.

Question

When will the wedding begin?

Answer

Ceremony starts at 3:00pm and will be immediately followed by a cocktail hour and reception nearby. Please refer to the Schedule page for more details

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Garden party attire! (Semi-formal: florals, pastels, suits in lighter colors, flirty maxi dresses, frills, fun statement silhouettes, etc.)

Question

Can I take and post pictures of the wedding on social media?

Answer

Of course you can! While we will have a photographer and videographer at the event, we still encourage guests to post pictures on their social media channels. Our only request is that you tag us in your stories and posts so we too can enjoy the amazing moments from our big day that you were able to share! You can also tag #nickandnicole (our hashtag is simple, sweet, and easy to remember!).

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

We are expecting beautiful weather! Average temperatures are a high of 75 and low of 52.
