We plan to fly into the Punta Cana International airport. The resort is approximately 20 minutes from the airport.
We booked an airport shuttle through a company called Nexus. We used them in December and it went very smooth! We booked the service a few days prior to arriving. After going through customs, you will enter a room filled with different transportation stands. Nexus will greet you there. You can book their service on the Lopesan Costa Bavaro Resort App.
The Lopesan has an app that you can download on your phone. The app is where you can book dinner reservations, order an airport shuttle, request room service, etc. The app has everything you need to know about the resort!
The resort is divided into 3 sections based on your room type. There isn’t a huge difference between each type of room besides some of the additional perks. In December, we flew out of Pittsburgh. In July, we booked our flight out of Cleveland because they have a direct flight to Punta Cana.
We are staying at the resort from July 7th through the 14th.

- When you arrive at the resort they will give you your room number. Once you receive that number, you will enter it into your Lopesan app. This gives you access to using the app to book reservations. Through our experience and reading reviews, everyone suggests that you book your dinner reservations for your entire stay the day you get there. This is because reservations will fill up quickly! - We suggest bringing lots of one dollar bills. We used them to tip all of our bartenders and servers throughout the week!
