Cassiel and Brendan met in 2018 at Northwestern University (go 'cats!) after being introduced by a mutual friend. Cassiel was a sophomore studying violin performance, and Brendan was a junior majoring in neuroscience. While they couldn't be more different, they found in each other a best friend :) For Christmas in 2022, Brendan surprised Cassiel with a trip to the Amalfi Coast of Italy. Brendan kept the details of the trip a secret - each morning, he gave her a vague clue about what the day would hold - whether it was hiking The Path of the Gods trail, a visit to Pompeii, or a boat ride to Capri. On the day of the proposal, Brendan simply said "I think you should wear the white dress today." Brendan and Cassiel spent the day shopping, eating, and admiring the beautiful town of Positano, until a walk along the beach at sunset, complete with a secret photographer that Brendan hired in advance. After what will be 7 years together, with 4 in long distance while pursuing their graduate degrees, Cassiel and Brendan could not be more ready to get married and start their lives! With their family members and friends all scattered across the country, they are excited to celebrate their wedding in the city where they fell in love.
