- The Beginning - Cassie had moved to the big city from a small town in East Texas for a new design job. She filled her time serving with Young Life and making new friends. Coleton was focused on his family business and serving on The Porch at Watermark. In his spare time he enjoyed throwing "epic" lake and ranch parties. - The Meet Cute - One day, Wei Wong (groomsman) invited several Young Life volunteers, including Cassie, to one of the "epic" lake parties. Coleton was the ultimate host and made an impression on Cassie, especially with his wild but welcoming personality. Cassie caught Coleton's eye with her smile and laugh, but made an impression when she stepped in to help a friend who suffered a wasp sting. - Dating - Through country concerts and one Rangers game, the two began to get to know each other better. They quickly found their common interests in their love for Jesus, country music and the outdoors. Once they had been on several dates, they quickly knew something was different about each other. Coleton was honest to a fault and knew how to make Cassie laugh and feel comfortable in every setting. Cassie was patient and kind and over time Coleton realized this was the girl he did not want to let go. - The Proposal - After 2 years of dating, Coleton planned a surprise proposal. This past Christmas, Cassie was in Boerne visiting her parents and family. She was led by her mother, Julie, to a quaint local restaurant to pick up a dessert, so she thought! As she rounded the corner, she turned to see Coleton waiting with champagne and a book he made of photos from their relationship. After reminiscing on their adventures together, he told her he loved her and got down on one knee to ask her to marry him. She quickly said "YES!", all smiles. To end the night Coleton had planned for their families to gather in the back of the restaurant and share in celebrating their engagement. We look forward to celebrating with you all on our wedding day!
