Why a Friday Wedding?
Answer
We are so excited to kick off the Labor Day weekend 2025 with the wedding ceremony & reception! We are planning some other fun activities throughout the rest of the weekend, and hope you will be able to stick around in Chicago to join us!

Is there a dress code?
Answer
Cocktail attire preferred. For reference, our wedding look is summer sunset vibes and our floral color palette is warm colors like burnt orange, mustard, salmon, plum. Feel free to embrace the color palette for inspo! Please note the historical average for Chicago on our wedding date is a high of 81 and a low of 64 and August can be humid, but luckily our venue is close to the lake so we anticipate a nice breeze!

How do plus ones work?
Answer
We will be having an intimate wedding at a smaller venue, so we need to keep our guest list tight. Those who are on our guest list will be named on the Invitations envelopes. Please let Chris or Cassie know if you have any questions or clarifications!

Are children allowed to attend the wedding?
Answer
We love your children! However, we will be having an adults-only wedding. We hope the parents in our lives can enjoy the night off for our wedding! Thank you for understanding.

Do you have any hotel recommendations?
Answer
Yes, we are doing a hotel block at two hotels! We have a 10-room block at Hotel Lincoln (closer to downtown) and 10-room block at Hampton Inn Chicago North Loyola Station (closer to the venue). Please see the travel section for more details. If these options book up or do not work for you, please reach out to Chris and Cassie for additional suggestions!

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?
Answer
Yes! We would love to celebrate with you Summertime Chi-style over Labor Day weekend. We will be having a laid back optional Welcome Party for those in town Thursday evening and then a casual Lake Day Saturday afternoon. While children can not attend the wedding, your children CAN attend the Welcome Party and Lake Day. Please note how many children when you RSVP, thank you!

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?
Answer
Yes, please include you dietary request when you RSVP. Our caterer, Lula Cafe, will accommodate!
Question
Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?
Answer
Yes, there is free parking for the venue at Hayt Elementary school at W Thome and N Greenview.
Question
Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?
Answer
We will be providing an Uber code under the Travel section, which will be available closer to the wedding.
