It was quite unexpected the way Cassie and Alex met. Cassie and Alex worked at the same retail store over a couple years. In passing, they may have exchanged decencies as any coworker would do, but they never formally met. Randomly, Alex’s friends at work began coming up to him speaking of a rumor they heard that Cassie said something about Alex. Meanwhile, Cassie’s friends started asking her about it, and she informed them she never said anything. The ironic part of their story is that neither of them knew who the other person was, as they had not put a face to the name. After the rumor mill kept stirring, Alex decided it was time to reach out to Cassie to figure it out once and for all. From the moment Alex messaged Cassie, it was an instant connection. While texting and facetiming every day, they were constantly laughing, and learning more about one another. Whether Cassie was studying abroad in Italy, at school in Iowa, or in Minnesota for an internship, the two always made efforts to visit each other. They tackled a full year of long distance seamlessly. They are beyond grateful for everything that brought them to today as they head to the altar. And yes, they still have no idea who started the rumor. But whoever it was, Cassie and Alex owe this all to them. Cheers!
