We are asking for an unplugged ceremony. This means no cellphones, cameras, or any other electronic device will be permitted at the ceremony. If you insist on carrying a cellphone, we ask that it is turned off. Anyone who does not comply with this rule will be asked to leave.
An unplugged ceremony means that you “live in the moment.” This means that the use of electronics is prohibited. No photography, videos, sounds(ringtones, text tones, music) etc will be permitted at the ceremony. We have paid a lot of money for our lovely photographers and videographers and we ask you comply with our wish.
We understand some people would like to “capture photos for themselves the photographer may miss.” We will have 2 photographers and a videographer capturing the entire ceremony. With this in mind, it is unlikely we will not get the photos we wish for. If you would like some photos to keep for yourself from the ceremony, just ask! We are more than willing to print photos for anyone as a token of our appreciation for not using your electronic device.
The ceremony and the reception will take place at Oak Hills Reception and Event Center.
2621 Oak Hills Dr Layton, UT 84040
No children/persons under 18 may attend the ceremony. The exception to this is our flower girl and our ring barrier. It is important to us that we have an adult atmosphere with no distractions. We love the kiddos in our family, but the ceremony is an adult only activity.
We do still ask to leave them at home. There will not be any food or drinks geared towards children served, and the atmosphere is going to be more suitable for adults (alcohol, possible swearing in music, etc.) We encourage making this an adult outing/date night for you!
Yes! There will be chicken and waffle kebabs along with a popcorn cart provided by Oak Hills catering staff.
Yes. Complete with alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. Your first drink is on us!
