Steven and I met in 2015 when we both worked at Publix. Our relationship began the summer of 2015 before I went away for school at Florida Gulf Coast University for environmental engineering. We remained long distance for 3 years only visiting each other about once a month. In 2018, Steven transferred to Florida Gulf Coast University for civil engineering. We were both able to take classes and study together for years until I graduated with my bachelors in 2020 and Steven in 2021. In 2020, I began graduate school in for a masters of science in engineering and I graduated in 2022. Steven was my biggest support in my pursuit for higher education and I couldn't have done it with out him. In 2021, Steven received a job as a civil analyst in Fort Collins, Colorado and we have been living in Colorado since. Steven proposed to me October 7th, 2022 in Grand Teton National Park, WY on the bank of Jenny Lake. He had flown my sister, Elizabeth from Florida to take the trip with us and witness this special moment.
