Our ceremony and reception will both be held at M & D Farm in Westerlo, NY. The exact address is 364 NY-143, Westerlo, NY 12193. Our venue is an intimate, European style garden and barn on a private property, located in the Hudson Valley / Catskills - roughly 30 minutes outside of Albany, NY.
We'd love to see our friends and family get dressed to the nines with us for our big day! We are requesting guests come wearing their favorite Cocktail or Garden Party Formal attire and their best dancing shoes! This is your night to shine too! Also, please note that the venue is partially outdoors and will require all guests to walk on the grass so we recommend that ladies not wear stiletto heels! Instead, we suggest wearing block heels, platforms, or flats to avoid anyone sinking in the grass. This probably goes without saying, but please no jeans, shorts or white outfits. We can't wait to see you all!
"Garden Party Formal" is a dress code that combines elements of formal attire with a relaxed, outdoor vibe. Think of it as a blend of elegance and comfort. It simply implies looking polished and put-together, but in a way that's suitable for an outdoor setting. For women, this could mean a chic midi or maxi dress in a floral print. For men, a suit and tie or blazer could be the ticket. You can be adventurous with prints, colors, and patterns! Our advice is to choose outfits that are stylish yet practical. After all, you'll be navigating grassy lawns and some uneven terrain. So, while it's a step down from black tie, it's definitely a step up from casual. It's the perfect balance for a garden-themed wedding.
Due to the intimate setting and our desire to give all our guests the opportunity to celebrate without having to worry about little eyes and ears, we have chosen to make our special day an adults only celebration (18+). We love the kiddos in our lives and wish they could all be there but we are hoping to give our guests a night off from parental duties. We thank everyone for making childcare arrangements and being understanding.
We do! We've reserved a block of hotel rooms for your convenience at two hotels listed on the travel section of our website. **The shuttle will be available for pick-up and drop-off at the end of the night at both hotel locations** (this is an update from when we previously only had the shuttle going to one location - now the shuttle will be going to both hotels for everyone’s convenience)
Our venue is situated in a somewhat remote area with limited parking. Therefore, we have arranged for transportation to and from the hotels where our room blocks are reserved. Guests will be transported via two 50-person buses to the venue and back to both of the hotels at the end of the night. The shuttles will be arriving at our preferred hotels at 4:00pm and will depart at 4:15pm During RSVP, please confirm if you will not be able to take the shuttle provided. We highly recommend carpooling if you plan to drive yourself to the venue. Please also note that ride share apps like Lyft and Uber are not reliable to and from M & D Farm since it is a more remote location. We greatly appreciate your understanding!
There is parking on site at the venue but it is very limited. To ensure everyone's convenience, we kindly ask guests to take advantage of our shuttle service to and from the venue. There will be two 50 passenger buses picking up from the hotels listed in the travel section of our website as part of our hotel block. If you must park at the venue, please carpool with others and let us know if you'll arrive separately; this will help us ensure that there are sufficient parking spaces for everyone who needs them. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding!
We kindly ask that you mail back your filled out RSVP card with your name and meal preference by August 5th, 2024. We have included a pre-stamped envelope with your invitation for your convenience. *You can also RSVP online by going to the RSVP tab*
September is one of the most pleasant times of the year in New York. It is a warm month with an average temperature of 75°. We recommend a light jacket for the evening since the ceremony and reception are both outdoors.
