FAQs

The Wedding Website of Meghan Blair and Casey Holland
Question

Are you really having your wedding at a bowling alley?

Answer

Heck yeah! Get ready for a good time. Open bowling is included on admittance. There will not be table assignments or a seated dinner at our reception. But please don't fret! There will be plenty of seating, plenty of food, plenty of open lanes and plenty of fun. If you were hoping for a stuffy order of events, this is not the wedding for you. We encourage you to explore the space, mingle and do whatever your heart desires, at any time! The food, music, and beer will be flowin' and the bowling balls will rollin'!

Question

There won't be seats at your ceremony?

Answer

Nope. We are having a short gathering in the trees to make this thing official! No need for chairs. We want a relaxed, casual feel.. and want folks to be able to space out and watch from whatever angle they prefer. Wait until you see the spot! We'll have "ushers" there to help guide you. And maybe even a cold beverage to keep you hydrated in the humid Rochester summer. We WILL however accommodate anyone who would like to be seated at our ceremony. Please contact us directly and we will arrange for this. Please also note that you will be on grass (heels not advised, unless you are brave). There will be partial shade depending on where you stand. The bathrooms are a 5 minute walk away, and do require some slight up and down hill walking. While the site is slightly hilly, and definitely grassy - there is a short flat path to the ceremony site that is wheelchair accessible. We can also accomadate vehicle transportation to the restrooms after the ceremony.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Please dress for the party you are hoping to attend! Anything goes. But if you're needing some inspiration - think cocktail attire, colorful, comfy, fun! Bonus points if you bring an awesome mustache!

Question

I already know I can / can't make it, should I let you know?

Answer

Heck yeah if you're already committed, bummer if you won't be able to make it. Please RSVP no later than May 15!

Question

I have a dietary restriction/allergy, will there be food for me?

Answer

Yes! We're going to have a vegetarian/gluten free option on the menu, but please reach out if you have any additional needs/worries/desires when it comes to snackin.

Question

I'm no good at bowling!

Answer

Then you better get your dancing shoes on! There is also a full bar and an outdoor area with picnic tables & games.

Question

Is this a kid friendly event?

Answer

We love your kids, but we're asking you to leave them behind for this one! Our reception will be adult only, but you are welcome to bring your families to our welcome party and ceremony. If you are in a bind and need of childcare during the weekend, please reach out! We would be happy to try and help get you in touch with some local sitter options through our Rochester community.

Question

The world has been weird lately.. will your wedding be safe?

Answer

While fun is our goal, the safety and comfort of our family and friends comes first. Times are always changing in the days of living through a global pandemic, so check back here for updates as things change. We will have a "no questions asked" policy if you need to cancel on us last minute for illness - so please do not attend if you have any symptoms.. we have immunocompromised family members we really care about. Plus, we don't want to be sick on our honeymoon! At this time, we trust our family and friends to make good decisions about their own health and the health of those around them. As always, if things change, we'll be sure to keep you updated.

For all the days along the way
