visit site or google "visit the Statue of Liberty". it should be the first site that comes up, on their site there's instruction on how to get there and how to purchase tickets.
This is our favorite place to have family time in the summer, there's a picnic area with an amazing view. there's also a playground and sprinklers for children to enjoy. there's places to eat walking distance. a beautiful trail that connects along side the river, you can also take the ferry to different parts as well.
This park is another favorite. the park is along the river and has the view of the Brooklyn Bridge. there's a playground for children, a carousel, broadwalk to walk along the water and the ferry can take you straight here. there's a amazing ice cream shop near by. also if you check the website there's always different events happening for example a movie showing outside on a big screen with grass seating. check out there site for further information.
this is a car-less island that you can only visit on the ferry. they always have different events going on so you would have to visit the site to see what is currently happening during your time in NY. other than the events, there's a playground, tanning& picnic areas and walking trails to explore the island. sometimes there different options of food trucks as well. we usually pack a little bag with snacks, food, bug spray, first aid kit if you have children and anything else you may need for a long day of fun.
