Peter's cousin, who worked at the same Physical Therapy clinic as Caryn at the time, suggested that Peter should reach out to her, given that they both had a shared interest in getting into triathlon. Peter reached out to Caryn and met together for coffee one late morning in mid September of 2018. They found out that not only did they live only a half mile apart from each other, but they were also signed up to cross off a big goal of completing their first Ironman in Wisconsin. From there, Peter and Caryn began waking up way too early (in Caryn's opinion) to run, swim, and bike together and their relationship as training partners and best friends turned into much more.

On Friday evening, Caryn opened the door to the house and saw Peter standing in the kitchen waiting for her with roses and champagne and the sweetest letter. And in the background, Peter was playing their song. Even at this point, Caryn STILL did not know what was about to happen, until Peter got down on one knee and asked to marry him. We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you.
