Who doesn't love pizza, pasta, and gelato, well Lucca is full of amazing restaurants. Walk or Bike Lucca city walls
Lucca is a walled city and they are still well preserved that you can walk or rent a bike along the walls. The walls stretch to around 4km.
Go on a wine tour through Tuscany
This wine tour will pick you up in Lucca's center then bring you through two different wineries, where you can try the wine. The full tour takes between 4-5 hours. - There are more wine tours from Lucca, if this particular one does not interest you.
Take a cooking class in Lucca
This cooking class is in Lucca at a home, where you learn from the chef how to make pasta and tiramisu! There are many more too, if you want to make something else!
Climb one of the towers in Lucca
Lucca has two towers, the Torre Guinigi and the Torre delle Ore. The Torre Guinigi which takes 230 to reach the top, but gives your breathtaking views. The the Torre delle Ore is a bell tower that you can climb to the top and see the workings of the clock.
Duomo di San Martino - City of 100 Churches
Lucca is known as the city of 100 Churches. The Duomo is the most popular, but there are many more. San Michele in Foro is apparently one of the most striking that dates back to 1070. Some more include Bascilia di San Frediano, Lucca Cathedral, Santa Maria Forisportam and many more.
Piazza Anfiteatro
This was historically an amphitheatre, where the original passages have been preserved, so you can see where the gladiators entered the battlefield. Now is stands you can find a variety of good restaurants and shops.
Pisa
Pisa, most famous for the leaning tower of Pisa, is a 25 minute drive from the center of Lucca.
Florence
Florence is about an hour car ride or train from the center of Lucca. If you find yourself with extra time and wanting to explore a new city. Florence is the home of The Duomo, The Galleria dell' Accademia (where the David is located), and many more amazing sights.
