Erica was born and raised in Omaha, NE. Carter was born in Lincoln, NE, moved to Sycamore, IL at the age of two, and later returned to Nebraska where he has lived in Omaha ever since. Growing up, Erica was a competitive dancer and Carter played club soccer. Our paths never crossed until we made it to high school. We both attended Millard West High School where we were both involved in Marching Band. Erica was in color guard and Carter was in drumline. We were introduced to each other by a mutual friend and began talking daily after school. On May 15th, 2017 Carter asked Erica to be his girlfriend and the rest is history! Carter began college at the University of Nebraska - Lincoln in 2019 while Erica was entering her senior year of high school. Although we were only 45 minutes away from each other, long distance is never easy. While we experienced our ups and downs, the long distance ultimately strengthened our relationship. In 2020 Erica joined Carter at UNL where we were both actively involved in the Cornhusker Marching Band. In January of 2023, Erica transferred to nursing school at Bryan College of Health Sciences. She will graduate in 2026 with a Bachelors of Science in Nursing and will begin working as a Registered Nurse upon completion of the NCLEX. Carter will graduate from UNL in May of 2024 with a Bachelors of Science in Civil Engineering. He has accepted a full time position at HDR and will begin working as a Traffic EIT/Coordinator after graduation. We are so excited to see what the future holds for both of us and can't wait to celebrate our marriage with you in July!
