Our love story begins in Austin, Texas oddly enough. We were both there as individuals for a week long homeschool government class called Teenpact. We did not meet until the last day, which was optional, that both of our parents forced us to attend. We ended up next to each other on the bus, where Carson continuously attempted to pursue a conversation with me, but I neglected interest in that conversation. He continued to start conversation with me, and in that engagement, we learned that we both came from the same homeschool sports association in Waco, TX. That excited me, to have something in common, so I conversated with him for the rest of the bus ride where we decided we would hang out at the campgrounds when we arrived. During that two hour conversation we had, I learned a lot about Carson that really captured my attention. When we arrived at the campgrounds I ran into my cabin, changed as quickly as possible, and ran to meet up with Carson and my best friend Anna. We sat by the river on the dock and talked for a good hour about each of our lives and interests. I became super interested in every word Carson spoke and the way he listened and honored others' words really captured my attention. Love sort of took over in a sense that the thought of him kept tugging at my heart even when I was not really looking for someone to spend my life with at the time. We got each other's emails because we were both grounded at the time and continued to play 20 questions through email for the next month. Carson then found out about a dance that was coming up and asked if I was going, of course I said yes without asking my parents because I knew I would figure out a way to get there regardless. We ended up at the dance together and every time I got to dance with him, I was just swooned at the sight and diligence of his ora. I never wanted that night to end, but of course it had to. After the dance was over, Carson asked my dad if we could talk and of course my dad had to give him “the talk”. We also got to meet his sweet grandmother who had brought him that night. A few weeks pass after the dance, and Carson sets up a promposal with my best friend Anna at the ranch I use to ride horses on. When Carson asked me to go to prom with him, I was in total shock, but without any second guessing, I said yes. We spent a lot of time together that day sharing the excitement of our first proms with a date. We planned our outfits accordingly and continued to hangout as often as we could. The more time we spent together, the more I realized what a special relationship we had. It was more than anything I had ever experienced, and I knew that I wanted him forever.
