We had mutual friends for years, but it wasn't until we had a class together at East High School during Cassie's senior year that we started becoming close friends. Carson's cousin and Cassie's best friend, Ashley Gilpin, encouraged us to go on a date and give it a chance as more than friends. Carson took Cassie out for ice cream and the rest was history.

Carson took me to my late grandfather's music store, This Old Guitar, which is an extremely sentimental place for me. He had lights, roses, and our closest family and friends there. He got down on his knee and asked me to marry him with Luke Combs' "Better Together" playing in the background. Through my sobbing, I responded with an immediate "yes!" We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See you in Kentucky!
