This might be one of the first pictures ever taken of us in 2018. Carson was either telling one of his favorite "dad jokes" or some saucy secret. We'll never know.

In 2018, Annie co-hosted a lovely holiday gathering in Denver, CO where we celebrated our first Christmas as an official item, what a gift.

The first time Carson got his mysterious urge to marry Annie was on the Oregon Coast in summer 2018. It might have been foggy out there, but his vision was clear.

In the fall of 2018, we started our yearly pursuit of fall colors in the mountains of Colorado, which is partly why we're so excited and hopeful about the fall colors during our wedding in September!

Having a blast in 2019 at the Sian Ka'an Biosphere Reserve, Mexico, where we found crocodiles, sea turtles, and did some coral reef diving off the coast of Punta Allen.

In July 2019 we did a weeklong camp in Yellowstone National Park and the Grand Tetons. Carson proposed at Old Faithful, right after one of its highly predictable eruptions. Annie said yes, obviously.

During the first three years of our relationship, we hiked and camped throughout the red rock formations of Moab, UT where the nights got so dark we could see the satellites orbiting in space.

Not a whole lot to say about 2020. We locked down in our Lakewood, CO home. We watched a lot of Netflix. Annie's dad helped us grow a garden. We adopted Simone and Selah. We had a quiet Christmas.

We'll always have a thing for the golden fall foliage in Colorado. So many of our early dates were long hikes in the Rocky Mountains, which is partly why moving out of CO was so hard for us in 2021.

In the spring of 2021, Annie passed her licensure exam for professional counseling, so we celebrated with live jazz and soul food in the French Quarter of New Orleans, LA.

During our winter 2022 trip to Costa Rica we galloped on horses for the first time. That exhilarating experience marked the official beginning of our wedding planning process! Yee haw!

Coming out of the lockdown era, we remembered that we never got engagement photos! So in the fall of 2021, we contacted Sidnee Adler to capture many of the images you see featured on this website.

Sidnee Adler captured some beautiful images of us cozying up around the Hoyt Arboretum in Portland.

Now that we live together in Oregon, we love to spend some of the foggy days hunting for coffee shops in the many little fishing towns and beaches along the Oregon Coast.

Love at sunset along the Bahia Barrigona, Costa Rica, Valentine's Day 2022. We've been so lucky to see so many beautiful sunsets together. Here's to many more!
