How we met, Our Love Story

When Friends Know They Know

Our friends in Texas set us up to meet at a local coffee shop. His laugh was spectacular, her smile was kind, and the stories in which we told each other made it so easy to open up and be completely honest, and vulnerable with each other. She carries this confidence throughout everything she does that just makes life better. The love continued to grow throughout the many months together to quickly become best friends. Friends knew us as "the couple that did everything together." We enjoy each other's company and continue to learn new things about each other. Dave took Carrie to a spray painting park in downtown Dallas, while Carrie showed Dave the cattle drive in Ft. Worth. There are so many dates including many fun trips to visit friends and family members in Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, New York, and Florida. Our trips together were nothing short of lots of laughs, and enjoyable fun memories. Dave was able to broaden the food spectrum for Carrie, including one of our dates which was gas station tacos.. if you know you know. They were very good tacos! Also, we found an Orange Chicken dealer like no other. Carrie now knows what is good cow and has become a food critic of anything that does not compare to Texas meat. Dave and Carrie decided to take a trip, on their 2-year anniversary to Galveston, Texas. The beach they call it. It is not like the Eastern beaches Carrie was used to, but it was still an awesome time with harder sand between your toes and a killer breeze. We stayed at a little Bed and Breakfast near the shore. We were able to explore the area and on one of those special evenings, Dave planned a 4-course dinner at the B&B. He was nervous, giddy and full of excitement. The dinner included a very good steak with lobster mac n cheese. The level of service and romantic night is one we will never forget. A few shared words from Dave, and a happy "YES" from Carrie, and we became engaged. We couldn't wait to share it with the ones closest to us. The ring is special to Carrie as it is a family heirloom from her grandmother. The sparkle is perfect. Check it out, at the top of this page. Our life together in Texas was great. Good friends, good food, and lots of enjoyable moments. We even started to go to church together. The relationship deepened as we grew in our own relationships with God. We finished a devotional book together about our relationship and it helped to bring out those tough topics that needed to be shared. It is nice to have the same faith base foundation and be able to share, grow and be in the presence of God. You never know where He will take you. As life went on, our next adventure of life came when we moved the entire family to Maryland. A blessing to be close to Carrie's family, as well as have Dave's immediate family with us. Getting settled, finding new jobs, and now having family members move away, we wanted to officially take time near our 5-years anniversary to set the date and commit to marriage. We welcome you to join us in our ceremony and we look forward to sharing our story with you. We hope you enjoy and feel the love!
