We're getting married!

We were having dinner at home on a normal Monday night and Cade said that he would like to walk the dogs in the open space by our place after dinner. I agreed as this is something we regularly do. A couple minutes goes by as we are eating dinner and Cade says, "Well we better get going. We're fighting the sun." I thought it was a little funny that he was in a rush, but we cleaned up quickly and went out to walk the dogs. We were walking and it was getting darker and darker. I stopped and said to Cade that we better start heading back. He hesitated, but said alright and we started our walk back. As we were passing the small lake in the open space, Cade put his arm around me and started his speech as we walked. Then he stopped and asked me to hold the leash he was holding and he got down on one knee. It was basically pitch dark by then, but it was very sweet and perfect for us. Right after he proposed, he apologized that it was so dark and told me that he tried a couple times throughout our walk to do it, but kept getting interrupted. He said one time he was pulling the ring out and Bubba started going to the restroom right next to us. Dark or not dark, it was an amazing surprise and such a sweet evening!
