From Jane's perspective: It was freshman year at Lewis & Clark College and our golf coach at the time had us all meet for our first practice on the putting green on campus. I had met some of the other golfers throughout orientation but there were still several that I needed to meet. One in particular, came up to me and introduced themselves with a very proper and confident handshake. That man was Jacob Bell. For the next two and half years we did so much of college together. Then after the super bowl where the Patriots lost to I don't know who, I just remember that the patriots lost, Jacob Bell drove me home and said, very properly and confidently, "I have feelings for you." AND that is how we met and no longer became JUST friends. From Jacob's perspective: It was also freshman year at Lewis & Clark, but we most certainly did not meet on the putting green. We actually met at the Bon (our college cafeteria). It was one of the first day's of school and I was in line with a fellow golfer on the men's team, who pointed Jane out to me in the cafeteria as a fellow golfer who he had a class with. We ended up eating together and hitting it off (I had a green apple as a side that day, which proves that my memory of this encounter is correct). After a couple years, I finally gathered the courage to ask Jane out, and after a week of making me wait, she said yes! The rest is history. *Jane is not right - Jacob
