How we met.

It was Trunk or Treat with emphasis on the treat.

We attend the same church, but really met at an evening trunk or treat event hosted by the church. Lexi (the Golden Retriever) and Carolyn were dressed up as butterflies and Bill, being the dog lover that he is, said hello and we began talking about dogs. After that we would say hello in church and in May we both happened to be invited to an event at Parker Street Ministries. We chatted briefly after the event and It was then that Bill asked Carolyn if she would like to go out sometime and she said yes. They exchanged numbers and the rest is history. Two who were not really looking, found a love that keeps growing. We are blessed!

Our Rings

A special symbolism

As we were looking for rings, we realized that we wanted our wedding rings to have special meaning. In our quest, we found Todd Alan Studios online. Todd is a true artisan and makes beautiful rings and jewelry with unique metal weaving techniques. The Cord of Three design caught our eye because of its symbolism from Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 which ends with "a threefold cord is not easily broken." We know that God is the cord that lovingly wraps around us to strengthen and keep us. Our rings have a white gold strand for Bill, a rose gold strand for Carolyn and a yellow gold God strand wrapping around them. Each day, our rings will be a reminder of God's amazing love in bringing us together and his continuing love in strengthening us through each day. A picture of us with Todd (we realized that his studio is in nearby Sarasota) is in the photo gallery and Todd Alan Studios included the rings and us in his Youtube video - Episode 3.
