Unbeknownst to us, we had been hanging out within the same friend circles for a couple of months before our paths ever crossed. In July 2016 in Sea Isle City, we finally met. Jared made a quote from the movie "Wedding Crashers" and Carolyn completed the line and the rest is history.

We were driving up from the city to celebrate Hanukah with Alex's family (a tradition from Carolyn's childhood). Of course a pit stop at Carolyn's parents house was required to see our dog Chandler. As Carolyn was greeted by Chandler, she noticed her sporting a new collar with tags stating "Will you marry me". Jared was waiting inside with a bouquet of roses, champagne and a ring. He got down on one knee (and Chandler hopped up on his leg) and proposed. It was perfect in every way.
