We met for the first time at Sakura, a sushi restaurant in St. Paul, MN. We were "introduced" however via an online dating site known as How About We. It all started over Justin's quirky idea for a date with the tag line: "How about we meet for great sushi and mediocre drinks" (though Caroline remembers the tag line in reverse: great drinks and mediocre sushi). Fortunately, the food and drinks were equally satisfactory, but that special spark in the air made it a date to remember! At the end of the evening, Justin walked Caroline to her car and asked if he could call her again. Without hesitation, she said yes. When Justin was out of earshot, several not so inconspicuous onlookers giggled and said to Caroline, "Oh honey, he's gonna call you".

Officially four years into dating, Justin surprised Caroline with a very special weekend get-away to Sonoma. Courtesy of Airbnb, they stayed in a charmingly rustic bungalow surrounded by pomegranate and persimmon trees. The first day was filled with yoga, a winery tour, and exploration of California's countryside. With help from the owners of the rental property, their barn was prepped with candles and champagne and Justin's plans came together. The evening ended with a walk and him on one knee in front of his future bride-to-be. Wholeheartedly, Caroline said yes! We are so excited to begin this next chapter of our lives!
